Our client is seeking a Unity Tools Engineer that will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tools that streamline the development process for VR projects. You will collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to create a more efficient and effective workflow, enabling the team to focus on delivering high-quality experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement tools and workflows in Unity to support VR development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand challenges in the VR development pipeline.
- Optimize existing tools and workflows for performance and usability.
- Maintain documentation for tools and processes to ensure clarity and accessibility for team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest VR technologies and best practices to inform tool development.
- Provide support and training for team members on the use of new tools and features.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Unity, particularly in VR development.
- Proficiency in C# programming and familiarity with Unity’s scripting API.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of VR hardware and software platforms (Oculus, HTC Vive, Pico, etc.).
- Understanding of 3D graphics principles and asset pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in creating custom editors and tools within Unity.
- Familiarity with shader programming and optimization.
- Background in game design or interactive media.
